The people from this number call my parents repeatingly trying to contact me ... I'm 36 & haven't lived with my parents in 16 yrs! I called them back and they said they were collecting a credit card debt of 2,000+ from Citibank. I have never owned a citibank card & these people were EXTREMELY RUDE! Receive a call from (914) 840-2596 at least once a day. When I answer, they hang up. Calling back takes me to a recording stating the business is Protocol Recovery and then another message says I'm being forwarded to the Operator. After the recording ends my call is transferred to an unknown destination where it endlessly rings without ever an answer.

As of 3/22/2011 they had processed the payment off his card anyways. I called and snapped out on her and she had said it's because I didn't call with a different card number so they took it off his and it's not her problem and I need to pay him back. Just got a call and whoever it was just hung up when they connected to our answering machine. I always check caller ID and do not answer unfamiliar numbers that are long distance calls. Checked your site and saw all the comments, it helps to know and block out future calls.

This number calls my cell phone daily, and often they call 3-5 times daily. The caller is always asian, and they want to advise me about education options for colleges or universities. They started calling my cell in January this year and have continued calling daily, except for a break from about March 1-mid-April. They call from several other similar numbers. When I said I am not interested, they say they will call me back in 6 months. When I say take my name and number off your list, they hang up on me without a word. Yet, the calls do not stop. I think I got into this mess by clicking on an ad for college grants when I was in facebook, yahoo, or google. TELL ALL YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY NOT TO CLICK ON THOSE WHEN THEY ARE ONLINE.

Recording that says something like 'there is no problem with your credit card...' then says to press the number 3 to stop future calls or number 1 to talk to someone about lowering your interest rate. If you press 3, you are immediatly disconnected. If you press 1, someone comes on line and says, 'Do you have over $3000 in credit card debt?' When I tried to explain that I wanted off their call list, she hung up on me mid sentence. They call about 3-4 times a week. Annoying to say the least!
