Handicapped and disabled workshop, they telemarket that they employ handicapped workers to make promotional products. They are not a charity, they guilt you by fact that they employ handicapped. I read FTC complaints online so I'm not sure I want to trust them.

A couple just came into my Police Station to report receiving calls to their cell phones and work phones from 408-520-2558. I heard the voice mail left by the subject who threatened the Sheriff would be coming to their jobs if they did not respond to his call. We don't have Sheriffs in this area! The party had a thick accent. I googled the number and found this page. I believe it to be someone looking to con people out of money. Also the couple reported that their bank account was compromised several months ago.

These guys call about once a week, never leave a message, never try and text. I was suspicious, so I thought I'd look 'em up and it look like they have more than a few spam reports...hmmm, probably means they're spam!

This number is calling mere acquaintances and distant relatives by marriage miles away looking for my son and wanting him to return their phone call asap and he is to ask for a Debbie Hathaway. I called Hathaway and she said she worked with colleges & universities. The number is a Rock Hill SC number BUT Debbie Hathaway would not confirm her location. I suspect another scam. My name & phone number is on all of my son's college loans so if it was a legitimate caller in regard to student loans, they would know to call me. And since he is still in college, his loans are all deferred.
