I just received repeated calls (four times before I was able to block) from a difficult to understand robotic voice about three warrants for my arrest concerning taxes. Nothing about it seems legitimate to me. Based on the "number of searches" chart and the comments posted today, 3/21/18, this is the new scam of the day.
I received a call from this number and they had dialed the wrong number.    They didnt offer to sell me anything, but I thought I should post this up.    Houston Florists w.houstonflorists.org 599 Texas St Houston, TX 77002 806-553-0685

Subject: Is it a Depression?
During every economic down-turn
there are people who succeed and
then there are people who don't.
In fact, right now, a lot of people
are experiencing the greatest economic
prosperity of their lives.
Even while others are struggling to
keep gas in their cars.
And the fact is...you CAN choose
which one you want to be.
To choose now, call:

I got a text in Spanish about an angel and a blessing. It seemed like spam. Then I got a phone call at 10pm at night from same number. I did not pick up knowing that the 809 area code in the past has been a scam and cost people money. I am probably going to have this number blocked.
person calling claims to be a employee with Fed Ex. person calling said that she got a package for us that is guaranteed to be worth $5,000 or more. The person calling said that she needed us to send $100. 00 to claim the package.
shes txting our buddy wierd & scary things stating mostly he will die or be haunted or both. I do not recognise this individual & our friend's scared, he never ever provided 'em his no.
Just called me on my ATT iphone acct. No message. NEVER EVER answer calls from numbers you do not know. If they really need you they will leave a message!
i think i am the only one that fell for the trick and ordered the toner. guess what/??? i got an ipad. still using it today. i went to reorder with the same company but now they are out of business. i am sure something is shady but i still walked away with my free ipad and toner.
recorded ring // offers to 'lower our rate' on credit card. NOT a ring with our cc company!
person calling called off. Guess this was another con. Why does not the watchdog get heavy with these ppl & start giving out six figure fines?
we just had a ring on the identical no. this is a recorded msg with Super Shuttle confirming our reservation for a ride to the airport tomorrow. Since you were visiting with out of town, i am guessing this may happen to be the identical thing, however the computer system is having problems!
Not true. If you call a # and its not the person you want to talk to and the person ask who you are , as long as they ask you can only tell them your name. if they ask and what company are you calling from you can than say the name of company but nothing more.
Amber called and said that she was returning a call that my boss asked. When I started questioning her she was very rude and asked me if he left for the day. I asked her to hold and called my boss to check - he had never heard of her or her 'company' which was the 'office of Evan Rizzo. When I returned, I told her that my employer did not know who she is and that he was not interested in talking with her. She continued to speak, so I hung up. She called back and said that their company is going to do business with us, but now no longer interested.
this guy keeps calling me with a condescending voice asking me if I am so-n-so, when i say no, he insists that i am, and then says, 'you know so-n-so don't you?' (which is usually a relatives name) but i say no, you have the wrong number... he wont let me get off the phone and he starts speaking to me as if he's a cop, and he keeps repeating the names of those he insists i am or know... i have to end up hanging up on him and he calls right back but i wont answer, if i do, its someone else asking for the same person....
we got the identical experience earlier today & the story is really elaborate & is a try to extort money with us. we rang the FDA & these people stated that these people have got numerous reports of a similiar con. The real FDA investigator was supposed to get back to us on this. The FBI does not seem to care that somebody was falsely identifing themselves as a gov't agent cos these people stated these people are FDA, not FBI!
Asking for a person that has not had my number in several months. It is a recorded message. This has been done many times since I used me new unlisted number.
automated call, voice mail only caught end of pre-recorded message. all I could catch was 'operator is standing by.'
Renee, how strange that you posted on the identical day. We are just asking up this no. cos we had a ring as well, however did not reply this.
Asked by name and then when asked.what it was regarding....something about and affliation and then said never mind and hung up.
This series of ##s x-x-0621 thru 0633 or further was used by E. foreign accented telemarketers. earlier today & last week these people rang on behalf of LMC Financial Services of Grafton WI.
Got a call at 5:22 a.m. on Monday, January 28. Not nice to wake up to ringing phone. I DO NOT have verizon phone. This was my landline phone. Not happy at all.
I never ever reply telephone no.s I do not recognize. Thank The Lord for Calling-ID. Nothing will quit these Robo-calls.
Rec'd a call from this number at 9:40 PM EST - answered and nothing but a breathing sound.
Another crackpot California idiot
Yeah... they called... I waited on the line to listen to the consultant who was not aware of the intro phone call message indicating the 'FBI is your neighbor and would like to install a free security system....' ($45-$65/month service fee). The consultant hung up on me as I questioned the message.
They are trying to keep my fax land line. I am trying to send back a fax to let them know, and it does not pass. I will not do business with a company that has no control over their business communications. My caller ID says: leading system
Wow. This really takes it. We've told these S. Gordon people on three previous occasions that we don't care which charity they're calling about, we don't want to talk to them. Stop calling. We aren't giving any more money at present. Tonight they called yet again. When I saw their name on CID I couldn't believe it. Again? Really? After what we told them? The guy asked to speak to my wife, J. I said what is wrong with you people? We told you not to call us again! He replied by saying there was nothing wrong with him and if J. was home, to put her on the phone. Huh? You call my home and give me orders? And then you expect us to give you money? I tried to stay calm and said she already told you halfwit drones that she didn't want to speak to a fundraiser or whatever you call yourselves these days. He demanded to speak to her once again at which point I told him to f*ck off and hung up. Next time we let the machine answer. First class as*holes.
Claimed to be a number in Washington, DC...CashAdvanceAmerica...with a manager named 'Danny Thomas' that spoke broken English.
we got numerous sms msgs on telephone with this telephone no. this states CHASE KDVV alert, therefore we rang our bank, & these people informed us that these people didnt send any alert today.
Home this week; and this number has called every morning 3 days in a row -- no response when I say hello. Very strange.
