Same thing happened to me. I got a call about the sheriff is going to serve me papers this person gave me the 888-667-0080 # and a case #. I called them & they told me I was being taken to court for an unpaid credit card. They told me they would be able to reduce the amount if I paid befor the 30th of this month. I was stupid & believed Michael & said I would pay tomorrow after 3pm. When I found out it was a scam I quickly called my bank & cancelled my bank card so they can't get my money tomorrow. This is written on November 20, 2012.

This guy keeps called named "TIM" says I know him. They are selling mortgage leads. I asked him to stop calling and he said "WOW" and then said. I asked him to remove me from the list and then and not be so rude and he said "WOW" WOW" WOW" Jesus Loves you! Then he hung up! I would not buy anything from them as far as leads due to there lack of professionalism

This number is listed in a suspicious e-mail that appears to be 'phishing' for personal account information suggesting it is calling credit card holders of Peoples National Bank (www.bankpnb.com). Although, it is not listed in the 'contact us' page of that website.

This no. rang our place of work this afternoon. this shows up as unidentified no. A girl stating his name was Sharon claims to be my vendor for toner cartridges (called the firm 'Business Systems') & gives a spill about needing us to order three with her. it is a total scam, since we get ours with Staples. we informed his we would want to ring his back & this is the no. he provided us. it is a fax no. when he calls, instantly inform his you recognise he was a scammer!

Odd call...guy claims he is comming over to serve a CA court summons to a Crystal Shepard for a fraudlent check case. I called back the same number,which he asked to call back on and its always busy. In his message he left ..he states that by leaving a messae it verifies that he contacted Crystal Shepard..who I never heard of.

Received a missed call from this phone number at 9:30pm on Tues Nite. Did not leave message. I did reverse 411 search on number and it says its a cell phone (Sprint is Carrier) based in Pittsburgh, PA. ? Don't know any one in PA. Maybe they just called by mistake/dialed wrong #? Yes... I got the same call and I think I know how they get our information. I remember applying for a job a few weeks back in Houston (online). They got back with me and it turned out the 'job' wasn't even local. It was in Utah. They emailed me wanting me to fill out an online 'screening' survey (due to an 'overwhelming response' to their 'ad') which seemed more like a screening for people interested in distance/online learning at which point I started to suspect it was just a gimmick and did not pursue it further. Now that I am getting calls about a job I supposedly applied for within the last week. I haven't applied for a non-teaching job for several weeks and my last application was turned in two weeks ago. Definately a SCAM and I am very pissed that they are feeding on the jobless. Someone needs to find them and throw them in a nice 6 x 8 cell. BE AWARE, they could be spoofing this number (faking the caller ID). SCAM!!! SCAM!!! SCAM!!! stay away!

Lots of people have received phone calls (they never seem to leave a message) from these guys but not a lot seems to be known about what company operates the phone number or what their motives are. One user has tried calling them back and got a message indicating that it could be a 'Donor Center'. Could this be a spoofed number?

Keep in mind these people will buy your number from the FCC as well. Putting your number on the Do Not Call list will not stop anybody from getting your number and calling. It used to be a good idea though.

identical happened here, these people ring every now & subsequently & no one bothers to leave a msg. we have no clue who it is, there's just empty air on our VM however you can hear background noise therefore you recognise there was somebody there. we agree that when this were vital why would not these people pass on a msg. our telephone was a business telephone therefore it is odd we would get a collector phoning.
